Orientation Invitation 2026-2027 New Students

Welcome to Chris Akkerman School! 

Please join us for an orientation presentation for new students and their families. This session will share information about Chris Akkerman School (CAS), what to expect when school begins in September, and provide an opportunity to ask questions.

This presentation is intended for Kindergarten families and new students joining CAS in Grades 1–5 for the 2026–2027 school year. Kindergarten attendance schedules will be shared in mid‑June.

• Doors open at 5:30 PM
• You will be directed to your appropriate table to sign in, receive your child’s name tag and your parent survey
• 5:45 PM Kindergarten’s will start their centres until approximately 6:30 PM
• All Kindergarten and Grades 1–5 families will attend a presentation in the gym with school leadership, who will review the following:
• • Staff Introductions and welcome
  • TLC Learning program
  • Uniform Expectations
  • My CBE account, access, and school fee’s
  • Bussing
  • Fun Lunch Registration
  • How to register to volunteer in your children’s classrooms
  • Kindergarten and TLC preparation for September
  • Q & A period between 6:05 and 6:20 PM
