Error in Important Dates

Last week, our weekly message included an error regarding Parent-Teacher Conferences. We mistakenly indicated that conferences would take place in late October. We apologize for the confusion.

Please note that these important opportunities to connect, celebrate student learning, and discuss your child's progress are scheduled for November 26 and 27.

We value these conversations and look forward to partnering with families as we support student success. More information regarding conference bookings will be shared as the dates approach.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Cricket Residency

We are excited to share that our students will be participating in a cricket residency at Chris akkerman School.

This program will give students an opportunity to learn about the sport of cricket while developing important skills such as teamwork communication and coordination and sportsmanship.

Students will enjoy being active learning new skills and participating with their classmates in a fun and inclusive environment.

We look forward to a wonderful cricket experience for our students.

Secret Path Week

This week our school will be taking time to learn about the secret path and the story of Chanine Wenjack.

Through age appropriate learning activities students will explore themes of kindness, belonging, empathy, and reconciliation, while learning about an important part of Canada's history.

We encourage families to take this opportunity to have conversation with their children about inclusion, respect, and the importance of learning about the past.

Demographic Forms

Completing your child’s Annual Forms and Demographic Information is a requirement of the Alberta Ministry of Education. Please ensure all forms are submitted as soon as possible to keep your child’s information accurate and up to date. Thank you for your cooperation.

School Fees Reminder

School fees for the current school year will be added to student accounts in mid-October.

If you have any outstanding fees from previous years, we kindly ask that you arrange payment as soon as possible. Unpaid accounts may be subject to the Calgary Board of Education's collection procedures, and we would like to help families avoid that situation whenever possible.

Thank you for your prompt attention to any outstanding balances and for your continued support of our school community.

Extended Absence

If you are planning an extended absence for your child during the school year, please contact the school office to schedule a meeting with Mr. Murray prior to your departure.

To support attendance planning and confirm your child's anticipated return date, families will be asked to provide a copy of their flight itinerary. This information assists the school in maintaining accurate attendance records and planning for your child's continued learning and successful return to school.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us ensure continuity of learning for all students.
