Dear CAS Families,
As we approach the holiday season and winter break, we want to wish you and your loved ones a safe, peaceful, and joy-filled time together. This season is a wonderful opportunity to rest, recharge, and celebrate in ways that are meaningful to your family’s traditions and values.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership and for the trust you place in us every day. Thank you for sending your children to school ready to learn—it makes all the difference. We also want to acknowledge our incredible CAS team for the amazing work they do to support students and create a caring, inclusive environment.
Over the break, we encourage families to keep learning alive in fun ways—read together, share stories, and play math games with friends and family. These small moments make a big impact!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, January 5, dressed for the weather and ready to start 2026 with wonder, curiosity and kindness.
From all of us, thank you for being part of our school community. May your holidays be filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
Digital Citizenship and Safety
As technology becomes a bigger part of our children’s lives, teaching responsible online behavior is essential. Chat with them about being kind online, keeping personal info to themselves, and what’s okay to share. Showing your own screen habits (like unplugging or thinking before posting) goes a long way. Here are a few ways you can help at home:
- Talk about kindness online: Remind your child that the same rules of respect apply on the internet as they do in person.
- Set clear expectations: Discuss what is okay to share and what should stay private (like personal information, photos, and passwords).
- Model good habits: Show your child how you use technology responsibly—whether it’s taking breaks from screens or thinking before posting.
- Stay curious: Ask your child about the apps and games they use. This opens the door for conversations about safety and positive choices.
Together, we can help our students become safe, respectful, and responsible digital citizens!
